Stevieontay Burnz has made a business and a music career out of working independently. His next album, Burnz and Beyond, brings those paths together. In a press release supplied to Variety Press, the Erwin, North Carolina-based artist describes a project shaped partly by his experience running The Southern Maryland Experience, a cannabis and hemp venture he founded in Maryland and later expanded into North Carolina.

The first announced song is “Wax Wizardry,” scheduled for September 30, 2026. Rather than announcing the album in a single drop, Burnz plans a weekly introduction: “Married to Mary” on October 7, “Terp Temple” on October 14 and “The Experience” on October 21. He says more songs will follow before the full album arrives. These are planned dates; the release has not yet reached streaming services as of this article's publication.

That schedule gives each track room to be heard on its own. It also creates a steady narrative around the project. Song titles and the artist's business background point toward cannabis culture as one strand, but Burnz's description also includes relationships, personal experience and the practical work of entrepreneurship. The full recordings will show how those ideas translate into music.

The lead single was mixed and mastered by Crackle Kapone, according to Burnz. His release also mentions a feature with ChuckyChuck of Kottonmouth Kings as part of the broader album campaign, without a confirmed track or date. Burnz previously issued the standalone singles “Amsterdam Lights,” “Midnight on the Dash” and “Hard to Breathe,” giving listeners earlier points of entry before the new sequence begins.

For an artist building without a major-label schedule, a song-by-song rollout is a way to keep a conversation open. Burnz is asking listeners to follow the project's development week by week, beginning with “Wax Wizardry” and continuing into October. He posts updates through his official artist channels.
